Russ Wiseman Pairs Purse at Wynnum RSL Indoor Bowls Club

The FIFA World Cup may be over, but the competitive spirit was alive and well at the Wynnum RSL Indoor Bowls Club last Monday night. The occasion was the Russ Wiseman Pairs Purse, a special competition donated by life member and Past President of the Wynnum RSL Golf Club, Russell Wiseman.

The event was a one-night round robin format with six pairs battling it out for the honours. When the dust settled, it was the combination of Col Jones and Gordon White who proved too strong, beating all comers to claim the Pairs Purse.

Unfortunately, Russell Wiseman was unable to attend on the night due to illness. In his absence, Bowls Club President Maurice Williams stepped up to present the medals to the deserving winners, Col and Gordon.
