First Triples Knockout Winners at Wynnum RSL

H Blacklock Memorial Trophy Winners

The Wynnum RSL Indoor Bowls Club has completed the first triples knockout competition of 2026, with Michael Hayes, Tom (Trigger) McCafferty, and Maurice Williams emerging victorious. The winning team claimed the prestigious H Blacklock Memorial Trophy after a competitive final against Alan Snow, Ian Reid, and Graeme Bell.

The H Blacklock perpetual trophy holds special significance for the club, serving as a memorial to Hugh Blacklock, a WW2 veteran and long-term member of the Wynnum RSL Indoor Bowls Club. This meaningful trophy honours his contribution to both the club and his service to the country, making each competition a tribute to his legacy.

Both teams displayed skill and sportsmanship throughout the tournament, with the final proving to be an exciting match.
