RAAF Super Hornet Flypast at Wynnum RSL

April 23, 2026

ANZAC Day Wreath Laying Ceremony

Prepare for takeoff – the RAAF Super Hornet is coming in low and fast! This year as part of our ANZAC Day Wreath Laying Ceremony, Wynnum RSL Club is pleased to announce that a RAAF F/A-18 Super Hornet will be doing a flypast of the venue at 10:06am. The flypast is subject to RAAF scheduling, but we’re thrilled to have this special addition to our commemorations.

Our ceremony begins at 9:45am, providing an opportunity for the community to come together and remember those who have served our nation. The RAAF flypast will add a powerful and moving element to the morning, honouring the service and sacrifice of our Australian Defence Force members past and present.

A Family Event

Bring the family and join us for this special ANZAC Day ceremony. It’s an important occasion to teach younger generations about the significance of ANZAC Day and to pay our respects to those who have given so much for our country. The Super Hornet flypast will be an unforgettable moment for children and adults alike.

The ceremony provides a meaningful way to mark ANZAC Day within our local community at Wynnum RSL. Whether you’re a veteran, a family member of someone who has served, or simply wish to pay your respects, everyone is welcome to attend.

Mark your calendars for 9:45am and plan to arrive early to ensure you don’t miss the 10:06am flypast. We look forward to seeing our community come together for this significant occasion.

Lest We Forget.
